Dollar Tree is a store that offers deeply discounted items of general merchandise including household goods, pantry items, health & beauty, home décor, office supplies, party products and more. The concept started out that every item in the entire store was priced at $1.00. Hanging on to the premise as long as possible (for 25 years), the base price finally increased in late 2021. Dollar Tree a great place to make purchases for things the family needs, such as cleaning products, seasonal decorations, snacks, craft supplies, toys, games, automotive and more.
When the Dollar Tree concept started in 1986, the store was named “Only $1.00” and there were five stores in Georgia, Virginia and Tennessee. As the store idea grew, the name of the company was change to Dollar Tree in 1993. Through some acquisitions, the company continued to grow and by 2006, the company had acquired its 2000th store. Today, there are more than 16,000 stores in 48 US states and five Canadian provinces.
