Bashas is an Arizona-based grocery store chain. The family-owned store predominantly supplies high-quality fresh and packaged groceries to consumers at the best price possible.

Bashas - History

Bashas was officially founded in 1932. The first store opened in Goodyear, Arizona. It started as a company store, where employees of a particular company purchased groceries using the company scrip. The company was a show of the founders' (Najeeb Basha and sons) resilience; after initially struggling with retail sales when they migrated to the U.S., Basha eventually grew through the 90s, and Store even bought all MegaFoods stores located Around Arizona in 1996. About 7 years later, in 2021, Raley's Supermarkets purchased the store, agreeing to keep its name and mode of operations the same.

Basha is also concerned about individuals' health, so they strategically partner with certain bodies to raise funds for their course. One of these is the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. It recently donated $50,000 to c4foundation to support its course. Basha has many events highlighted to mark its 90th anniversary. It recently got a Guinness World Record after creating its logo with about 14,000 doughnuts, in July, as another way to commemorate its 90th anniversary.
