Bashas - Store
Bashas is an Arizona-based grocery store chain. The family-owned store predominantly supplies high-quality fresh and packaged groceries to consumers at the best price possible.
Bashas - History
Bashas was officially founded in 1932. The first store opened in Goodyear, Arizona. It started as a company store, where employees of a particular company purchased groceries using the company scrip. The company was a show of the founders' (Najeeb Basha and sons) resilience; after initially struggling with retail sales when they migrated to the U.S., Basha eventually grew through the 90s, and Store even bought all MegaFoods stores located Around Arizona in 1996. About 7 years later, in 2021, Raley's Supermarkets purchased the store, agreeing to keep its name and mode of operations the same.
Bashas - Promotions
The store has weekly ads where they announce deals that can save consumer costs. They also have coupon and promo codes for discounts. Basha is also concerned about individuals' health, so they strategically partner with certain bodies to raise funds for their course. One of these is the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. Basha has made it so that when you buy their pink-labeled bottled water, they donate 10 cents to the charity.
Bashas - News
Bashas has been a part of Arizona's life for about 90 years. To commemorate their 90th anniversary, the Governor of Arizona proclaimed July 12 as Bashas' Appreciation day. The store now has a day for itself in the state it started.
