Ollie's - Store
Ollie’s is an American retailer that offers bargains through closeout merchandise and excess inventory. Buying up additional stock that other stores are no longer featuring, Ollie’s is able to pass their savings on to their customers. While no visit to Ollie’s is ever exactly the same, customers can find products such as household goods, pantry items, cleaning supplies, books, seasonal items, tools, toys and much more.
Ollie's - History
Ollie’s started in 1982 in Mechanicsburg, PA where four men (one named “Ollie” Rosenberg) started the discount bargain store. As the company grew, they implemented the “Good Stuff Cheap” promotion and expansions outside of Pennsylvania continued. By 2022, the company had grown to more than 440 stores in 29 different US states.
Ollie's - Promotions
Promotions at Ollie’s change every week depending on the particular bulk merchandise they are able to source from other stores. Most deals are featured as end-of-season sales or post-holiday promotions. From grocery pantry items to health & beauty, from outdoor products to book buyouts, Ollie’s always has discounts and deals for everyone.
Ollie's - News
A place that has never taken itself too seriously, Ollie’s loves to make the news for silliness. In this case, in the summer 2022, Ollie’s broke the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest bobblehead. A likeness of the recognizable white haired Ollie caricature, this bobblehead stood 16-feet tall and was displayed in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and weighed more than 375 pounds!
Ollie's - More Information
The concept for Ollie’s is one that many people love because it offers them tremendous deals. While some good are irregular, others may have just been overstocked, or had a packaging change, which means the prices are deeply discounted – up to 70% off every day. Customers should know in advance that they may not always be able to find the exacts brands or items they are looking for, but there’s always a bargain to be had for those who are willing to put in a little time searching.
