Dillons - History
With a history that dates back to 1890 with a general store, J.S. Dillon and Sons store was opened in 1919 and then incorporated in 1921. Located in Kansas, the store grew into a chain of Dillons grocery stores that now serves communities in Kansas with at least 80 stores. Acquired by the Kroger company in 1983, they became part of a nationwide chain of stores.
