With products for art projects, home decoration, seasonal items, party supplies and much more, Hobby Lobby caters to those who enjoy sewing, painting, model building, knitting, flower arranging, and so many other hobbies and activities. Hobby Lobby now operates stores in 47 of the continental United States, excluding only Vermont. In addition, Hobby Lobby is one of the very few national chains that is closed on Sundays so that their employees can have a day to rest.
Hobby Lobby - History
Getting its start in 1972, Hobby Lobby began its life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Growing quickly over the years, the chain expanded its scope of business from craft supplies to include furniture and other household items. Occupying big-box facilities, Hobby Lobby has kept its cost down by maintaining no-frills stores and staying the back end of technology developments. This strategy seems to have paid off and the company now operates more than 950 stores throughout the US.
Hobby Lobby - Promotions
Promotions at Hobby Lobby change with the weekly ad, including sales and discounts as well as coupons. The Hobby Lobby App is a recent addition to the store’s offerings, allowing customers to access sale information and digital coupons through their smartphones. Customers can often save percentage discounts on certain ranges of products, such as 30% off all yarn, 50% off seasonal decorations, or 40% off crafts.
